About Creative Places Knocknaheeny
An award of 3 Year ‘Seed’ funding has been made to Creative Places Knocknaheeny starting in 2026 on the strength of a proposal developed by local residents of Knocknaheeny following a Research and Development process with partner organisations including Cork City Council and lead by engaged researcher and commuity artist Noeline Kavanagh.
Our collective vision is for Knocknaheeny to continue developing, through partnership and a ground‑up approach, as a place that is synonymous with excellent, people‑led arts, where our pride of place is expressed through the arts for all to see. Through Creative Places, our mission is to ensure that existing examples of quality arts engagement are amplified and normalised, while developing a dynamic, rich, inspiring and inclusive range of arts activities that reflect the traditions, imaginations and aspirations of Knocknaheeny residents.
