Milla Bruneau

Milla Bruneau is the Vice Chairperson of the City Board of Lahti and Chairperson of the Committee for Vitality Services and Economic Growth.

She is an experienced leader in systemic change, sustainable urban development and cross-sector collaboration. As the Executive Director of Lahti – European Green Capital 2021, she led a city-wide transformation built on collaboration between the public sector, businesses, universities and research institutions, educational organisations, civil society and citizens. Her work focuses on turning ambitious sustainability goals into practical action through shared leadership, strong partnerships and long-term systemic change. Today, she is particularly focused on Planetary Health and Nature Positive approaches, connecting nature, human health and wellbeing. She sees cities as platforms for systemic change, bringing together the public sector, businesses, research and education, civil society and citizens to create solutions that improve both human and planetary health.
