Lord Mayor welcomes President Connolly to City Hall on her first official visit to Cork

The Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr Fergal Dennehy, was delighted to welcome the President of Ireland, Catherine Connolly, to Cork City Hall today during for first official visit to Cork city since her election as President last October.
The President, who was accompanied by her husband, Brian McEnery, had a number of engagements across the city.
The Lord Mayor extended ‘a céad mile fáilte romhat’ to the President and her husband and spoke of the strong bond between Cork city and the office of the presidency.
He also wished President Connolly well in her term of office, and extended an invite to her to visit Cork city again.

D’fhógair an tArdmhéara ‘céad míle fáilte’ don Uachtarán agus labhair sé faoin nasc láidir idir Cathair Chorcaí agus oifig na huachtaránachta.
Ghuigh sé gach rath ar Uachtarán Connolly ina téarma oifige freisin, agus thug sé cuireadh di cuairt a thabhairt ar Chathair Chorcaí arís.
