Dagmar Ó' Riain- Raedel will give a talk on 'Changing the face of Cork, the architectural legacy of the Hill dynasty'
The Hill dynasty was an influential family of six architects across three generations including William Henry Hill Sr, Henry Hill and Arthur Hill who shaped the architectural landscape of Cork City and county from 1827 to 1951. Their prominent work defined much of the region's civic, commercial, and religious heritage over more than a century. They designed a wide range of buildings in Cork including the Metropole Hotel, the Crawford College of Art and Design, AIB 66 South Mall and the College of Commerce.
The talk will take place at 3pm in the Metropole Hotel.
