Lord Mayor Plants Tree in US Birthplace to Honour Cork’s Forgotten Hunger Strike Hero
The Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr Fergal Dennehy, joined the Mayor of Lynn, Massachusetts, Jared Nicholson, to plant a commemorative tree in the birthplace of Volunteer Joseph (Joe) Murphy, the Irish Republican who died on hunger strike in Cork in 1920.

Funding of Nearly €1m Awarded to Cork City Community Groups for Climate Action
