Neighbourhood Safety Fora
Neighbourhood Safety Fora are spaces where you and your community can discuss any safety concerns you may have with An Garda Síochána and, in some areas, staff from the Community Team of Cork City Council. These meetings are held three to four times a year.
Contact Cork City Council Community Safety team at communitysafety@corkcity.ie to find out the dates, times and location of the Local Safety Forum in your area. All upcoming dates will be listed below once confirmed.
Upcoming Safety Fora:
- Glanmire Safety Meeting - Tues May 12th at 8pm in Upper Glanmire Community Hall.
- UCC Area- Tuesday 19th May at 7.30pm in the Electrical Engineering Building L1, UCC (This is located just to the left as you drive or walk in the main gate.)

What can be raised at Neighbourhood Safety Fora?
All issues related to Cork City Council should be first logged via our Customer Care team.
Other issues that can be raised at the Fora are
- Issues related to crime and crime prevention
- Anti-social behaviour
- Issues related to illicit substances
- Derelict properties
- Road safety (speeding, illegal parking, footpath quality, crossing infrastructure, etc.)
- Safety in public spaces i.e. streets, parks and green spaces
- Public signage related to safety i.e. 'Children At Play'
- Abandoned cars
NOTE:
Always report EMERGENCIES to 999 or 112.
No criminal cases can be discussed at a forum.
No personal information or issues related to an individual can be discussed at a forum.
Other issues that are not suitable for a Safety Forum
- Water and waste water services - all issues related to water and waste water should be sent to Uisce Éireann
- Reporting a gas leak - call the Gas Networks Ireland 24-hour Emergency Service immediately on 1800 20 50 50
