City Centre Projects Continue as we Green St Patrick’s Street
22/07/2026
There has been a hugely positive reaction to the first part of our greening pilot project on St Patrick’s Street.
Thanks for the team involved in the installation and planting of the new planters, which have added a real splash of colour and some much need shade to the city’s main street.
It’s great to see people using the new seating there too.
The completion of the first new planters is the latest in a series of recent city centre focused projects which includes work to spruce up the railings on historic Parnell Bridge.
Over the coming weeks, the bridge’s railings will be cleaned and repainted.
It all comes just days after the opening of the plaza at the Parnell Place end of South Mall, the opening of the Seamus Murphy Bridge, and the installation of heritage lighting on Parliament Bridge.
