Cork City Council has bought the historic Counting House complex on South Main Street which is set to be reborn as the new Cork City Public Library.

Cork City Council has presented the keys to the buyer of its 350th affordable home – another significant milestone in housing delivery in the city.

The Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr Fergal Dennehy, joined the party in Fitzgerald’s Park on Sunday for the first ever Cork Mela Festival celebrating the city’s cultural diversity.

The curtain has come down on the 21st Lifelong Learning Festival, marking the end of another vibrant and inspiring celebration of education and curiosity in Cork city.

Congratulations to the City Hall Singers who won Workplace Choir of the Year at the Cork International Choral Festival at the weekend.
