Community Wardens
Community Wardens work with local communities to improve the local environment through education, enforcement and practical action. They are a visible presence in the area and carry out daily walkabouts. They report issues such as litter, dumping, abandoned cars, repairs and maintenance, and antisocial behaviour. They work closely with residents, RAPID Coordinators, Cork City Council staff across various directorates, and other local stakeholders.
Community Wardens support residents’ groups, help organise estate and community clean‑ups, support local environmental events, and take part in community meetings, including community safety forums. Their role helps to build community pride, improve local areas, and strengthen confidence within the community.
