The Cork City Fire Brigade has a proud tradition of Service to the people of Cork City and its environs since 1877. Since then Cork City Fire Brigade has seen many changes in it's structure, strength and resources. The development of the Brigade has closely mirrored that of Cork City, its culture being shaped by its experience and tradition.
Today we are an organisation of professional people working as part of a team, dedicated to providing a multi skilled approach not alone to the areas of fire fighting, but also to rescue and fire safety engineering. We are available for emergency response to the community 24 hours a day seven days a week. Hopefully you will never need us, but if you call us we will be there.
A City Remembers - Cork 1920: To commemorate the centenary of 1920 Cork City Council has launched www.corkcitycommemorations.ie containing a series of videos, interviews and exhibitions detailing this important part of our history.

City Fire Brigade Bringing Safety and Fun to Summer Show
Cork City Fire Brigade will be out in force at this year’s Cork Summer Show, bringing a lively, family-friendly display that mixes hands-on fun with important fire safety advice. Visitors can call in to meet their local firefighters and explore a dedicated Community Fire Safety Vehicle, along with a wide range of operational equipment.
