Heaven’s Cakes is run by husband and wife team Team Joe & Barbara Hegarty. It was established in 1996 by Joe and a year later he was joined by his wife Barbara to produce handmade tarts, mousse cakes and bespoke cakes. Both Joe and Barbara are classically trained chefs specialising in Cakes and Pastries. Throughout the years awards such as the “Bridgestone Award” and “The Great Taste Award” have been won by Heaven’s Cakes Produce. With over 20 years in the English Market, Heaven’s Cakes is a firm stable at the Market. As time has passed on Joe and Barbara’s children Tim (11), Anna (9) and Ben(6) each enjoy helping at the business. With a gorgeous treat as payment...so far!!!
All produce at Heaven’s Cakes is handmade, using local ingredients wherever possible. Our pastry is particularly delicious as the butter comes from the green fields of West Cork and is supplied to us by our neighbours the Bandon Co-Op. The same goes for Milk, cream and eggs - which are all sourced locally. Our chocolate however comes from Belgium and is rich in Cocoa, but low in sugar and fat. 100% fruit puree is used for our mousse and cheese cakes. We aim to serve cakes and pastries made with skill, passion and carefully sourced raw materials.
At Heaven’s Cakes we bake fresh daily. With our friendly sales staff keen to help our customers choose the right dessert for their occasion or simply a delicious treat. Heaven’s Cakes serves French patisserie with an Irish twist.
We customise birthday cakes or help you with your office party. Our cakes can come whole or portioned to suit your event. For larger functions we also create bespoke desserts.
