Community Wardens
Community Wardens have been employed in RAPID areas in Cork City since August 2008. Their role is to work with local communities to improve the physical environment through education, enforcement and local action.

An Age Friendly city is a place where more and more older people can stay living in their own homes and communities, lead healthy and active lives, get to where they want to go when they want to go, and are valued contributors to the lives of their communities.
Cork Learning City
Cork Trauma-Sensitive City
Cork is committed to becoming a trauma sensitive city, recognising that many people who access services have experienced trauma such as abuse, loss, migration, or social disadvantage. By increasing trauma awareness, services can respond in a more understanding and supportive way, helping to avoid re traumatisation and promote recovery and wellbeing.
Food Policy Development - Feast 2030 Project
In Cork City, the FEAST project is supported by Horizon Europe and focuses on building a more sustainable, local food system using a “Living Lab” approach.
Healthy Ireland
Healthy Ireland is a government-led initiative that seeks to improve the health and wellbeing of everyone living in Ireland. The Healthy Ireland Coordinator in Cork City Council leads and coordinates local health and wellbeing initiatives across the city.

Revitalising Areas through Planning, Investment and Development (RAPID) works with communities across Cork City focusing on areas designated as disadvantaged. The focus is on communities, the voluntary sector and agencies working together in partnership for the betterment of the community.
