Cork Carnival of Science returns to Fitzgerald's Park in June 2026!
This fun-filled, family-friendly extravaganza is packed with live shows, hands-on experiments, interactive games, street food, and non-stop entertainment. Whether you're a budding scientist, a curious mind, or just love a great day out, this is a carnival you won’t want to miss.
Cork Carnival of Science features 22 science shows each day. Join Scientific Sue and Mark the Science Guy in the stretch tent stage while Thunderbolts and Lightening, Simply Science, Inspirational Science, and Science Made Simple take over the Circus Top stages. Discover how Analog Devices and Merck use science in real life applications, join in the fun with Strong Women Science and make your own flashing LED’s badges to take home.
Cork Carnival of Science sets about creating and delivering a large public engagement event that intertwines science, engineering, and maths with playful learning in a fun, open, and easily accessible environment.

For the comfort and enjoyment of all attending Cork Carnival of Science please note no parking will be available in the vicinity of Fitzgerald Park for the duration of the event. Vehicle access to Mardyke Walk will be restricted to residential and emergency vehicles only with a one way system in place from 10.00am to 6.00pm on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th of June.
