Cork City Council Advises Precautions for Expected High Tide Events
Cork City Council would like to advise that a period of very high astronomical spring tides is expected from this Wednesday, November 5, lasting until Saturday evening, November 8.

Mahon Street Renewal Scheme
The Lord Mayor of Cork Cllr. Fergal Dennehy visited Mahon to view the recently completed Mahon Street Renewal Scheme. The scheme is Cork’s first community wide streetscape renewal programme, aimed at providing improved streets which are safer and provide multi-modal connected links to schools, retail, sport and leisure within the Mahon area.

From Wind to Free Hot Water: Pioneering Cork Energy Project Wins a National Age Friendly Award
The EnergyCloud Age Friendly Initiative – a collaboration between Cork City Council, Cork City Age Friendly, and EnergyCloud Ireland, a charity supported by Irish utility providers and wind energy companies which uses innovative solutions to divert renewable energy to Irish homes at risk of fuel poverty – won the environment category section of the National Age Friendly Recognition and Achievement Awards.
