A collision of genres, an explosion of sounds and a meeting of minds, Rock the Block returns and boldly plants itself on the Cruinniú na nÓg map for 2025, daring all young music-makers to come along and be heard!
With a traditional Irish and folk open jam session; a pop, rap and hip hop open mic session; an interactive dance workshop with Tobi; a beat-box workshop; a music showcase for up & coming local young artists; culminating in a guest performance by the trailblazing Hazey Haze! This collaborative event promises to shake the foundations and roar from a height that Cork is alive with musical mayhem!
As part of the growing partnership between Hollyhill Library, the Rory Gallagher Music Library, and other music organisations in the Hollyhill area, Music Generation Cork City, the Kabin Studio and Musical Neighbourhoods are delighted to collaborate with Cork City Libraries on this event.
Photography and video will take place through the event. Wheelchair accessible. City centre location served by bus routes.
