The Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr Fergal Dennehy, has thanked everyone who supported the Lord Mayor’s Charity Ball 2026, which has raised around €30,000 for four incredible charities.

Cork City Fire Brigade will be out in force at this year’s Cork Summer Show, bringing a lively, family-friendly display that mixes hands-on fun with important fire safety advice. Visitors can call in to meet their local firefighters and explore a dedicated Community Fire Safety Vehicle, along with a wide range of operational equipment.

Cork City Council and the Cork Biodiversity Hub are coming together with the National Biodiversity Data Centre, the Irish Bee Conservation Project, the National Parks and Wildlife Service and The Heritage Council to run two public workshops on our native moths and pollinators.
