The Spirit of Mother Jones Festival will take place online from Friday November 27 to Monday November 30.

This year the festival celebrates the life of Cork born Mary Jones (Mother Jones) who fought fearlessly for basic rights for children and for workers in America in the 1900's.
The War of Independence will be marked through the screening of films and by the following pre-recorded talks. From Ahawadda Cross to Dail Eireann, one family's story! by Diarmuid Kingston. The Revolutionary Women in the Invisible Army... the Cork women who took part in the War of Independence by Anne Twomey of the Shandon Area History Group. Labour and the Irish Revolution by Dr Luke Dineen.
