I want to apply for a parking permit

Introduction

This page will guide you through the process of applying for Cork City Council’s parking permits. Please read this information before you begin an application. Please note that applicants for a Residents Permit (new or renewal) are liable for parking charges (disc/Park by Phone) until the date of issue of a permit, if parking in a disk parking area within the designated times.

The types of permits available are as follows:

How to Apply

You will find a button which links to an online application form for each of these permits at the bottom of this page. If you would prefer to apply using a paper form you can contact the parking team by email at parkingpermits@corkcity.ie or by calling +353(0)21-4924343 and leaving a voice message. Be sure to give your full name and address and the parking team will send you a hardcopy application form by post.

Application forms can also be collected from the City Hall in person. They can be found in the reception foyer next to the permits post box.

Processing Time

For residential permits, allow a minimum of 10 working days for processing. For other permits, the processing time may vary. If your application is successful, you will be contacted to pay for the permit. In the case of an online application, you will receive an email which will direct you to a digital payment option. You will need a credit or debit card to complete the transaction. When you have made your payment, your permit will be printed in due course, and you will receive it by post.
