Irish Historic Towns Atlas (IHTA)
To mark Heritage Week 2023, this video presents the work of the Irish Historic Towns Atlas (IHTA) on the city of Cork and gives a flavour of what can be expected from the new atlas in its print and digital forms. IHTA Cork/Corcaigh by H.B. Clarke and Máire Ní Laoi will be published by the Royal Irish Academy (in association with Cork City Council) in 2024. In advance of the printed atlas and with support from the Heritage Council’s Stewardship Fund 2023, a Digital Atlas of the City of Cork is under preparation and will be released in November 2023.
