Cessation of emergency legislation on 23rd May means all statutory planning requirements will again apply from Monday 25th May.

The re-opening of the planning system to members of the public in the initial period will be by appointment only.  While we can facilitate appointments we would request that you ensure you have familiarised yourself with the public health guidelines https://www2.hse.ie/conditions/coronavirus/protect-yourself-and-others.html and consider visiting public offices only where business cannot be conducted by phone, email or video conferencing.

Members of the public are directed to the City Council’s website where they can search for and view a planning application, find details of the planning application process, access planning forms, find details regarding short term letting, view weekly planning lists and access information regarding planning enforcement.

In accordance with guidance issued and in the interest of safety for both visitors and staff, the Development Management Section will continue to encourage transactions to be carried out through email, telephone and through video conferencing.

Members of the public that visit the planning counter will be asked to provide information for the purposes of contact tracing.
