Situated within walking distance of the city centre and right in the middle of the beautiful Fitzgerald Park, Cork Public Museum has exhibited Cork’ s rich and diverse heritage since 1945. Come marvel at archaeological exhibits that trace over 7,000 years of human settlement in Cork. Explore the museum’ s historical exhibits that tell the stories of many prominent Cork men and women who played their part in some of the most important national and international events of the last four centuries. The museum’ s exhibits highlight and examine the city’ s rich civic, political, military, social and cultural histories that make Cork what it is today.
