Built Heritage Jobs Leverage Scheme 2014

The Department of Arts, Heritage & the Gaeltacht has announced a new small-grants scheme to assist owners and occupiers of protected structures and significant buildings located in Architectural Conservation Areas.  The Scheme will be administered by Cork City Council and is intended to promote the repair and refurbishment of such buildings by the employment of skilled craftworkers, tradespeople and conservation professionals.

We recommend that you employ service providers with a track record in conservation work in order to ensure best practice in conservation and to give you the best chance of securing a grant.

Lists of conservation service providers, including professional advisers (e.g. architects or engineers), building contractors, or tradespersons specializing in historic buildings and their fabric, that might be able to provide advice and quotations, can be found by clicking on the links below.

Applications should be received by the Conservation Officer, Cork City Council by 7th February, 2014.
