Structures at Risk Fund 2015

Cork City Council in conjunction with the Department of Arts, Heritage & the Gaeltacht invited applications for the ‘Structures at Risk Fund’ for 2015. This was be administered by the Conservation Officer of Cork City Council. Only structures that were in immediate danger of significant deterioration qualified for consideration for funding by the Department. Please note that due to the limited capital resources available for the operation of the SRF, the Department  considered no more than two applications per Local Authority. The City Council  selected the two applications it considered best met the criteria of the SRF for submission to the Department.

 Eligibility was

  • Structures had to be included in the Record of Protected Structures or
  • Proposed Protected Structures or
  • Structures within Architectural Conservation Areas, where exceptional circumstances are deemed by the Department to apply.

 Please note that the two applications that were submitted to the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht have been approved. They are

 5 Grenville Place (Boole House)

Skiddy’s Almhouses

Repairs to gutter / window heads / timber rot on western elevation and window repairs on north and west elevations. Please find below the grant offer letter from the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.
