Ongoing Works

  • Smith Street: Full closure currently in place from the junction of Phoenix Street to the junction of South Mall  to facilitate the redevelopment of No.85 South Mall (PJ Hegarty Construction)  – ** this closure will remain in place until October 2018 **
  • North Monastery Road: Lane restriction currently in operation to facilitate works as part of the Gerald Griffin Street Housing Enabling Works Scheme (BAM)
  • Grattan Street: Road closure northbound currently in place from the junction of Peters Street to facilitate footpath works as part of the City Centre Public Transport Improvement Scheme (MGOS), diversion in place
  • Grattan Street: Closure northbound currently in operation from the junction of Henry Street to the junction of Bachelors Quay to facilitate paving works as part of the City Centre Public Transport Improvement Scheme (MGOS)
  • Ballyhooly New Road: Road closure outbound currently in place from the junction of Gordon’s Hill to the junction of Ballyvolane Cross to facilitate the Ballyvolane to City Centre Cycle Route(Ballyhooley Road) Project. (MGOS) – this will remain in place until Sunday 15th April 2018.

Saturday 24th February 2018

  • St. Colmcille’s Road: Road closure in place from 0900hrs – 1500hrs from the junction of Bakers Road to the junction of Churchfield Way Lower to facilitate tree pruning (Parks Dept, CCC), diversion in place
  • Middle Glanmire Road: Road closure in place from 0900hrs – 12noon from the junction of St. Luke’s Cross to the junction of Leycester’s Lane to facilitate lantern replacement (Airtricity), diversion in place
  • Middle Glanmire Road: Road closure in place from 12noon – 1500hrs from the junction of Leycester’s Lane to the junction of Lovers Walk to facilitate lantern replacement (Airtricity), diversion in place
  • Middle Glanmire Road: Road closure in place from 1500hrs – 1900hrs from the junction of Lovers Walk to the junction of Colmcille Avenue to facilitate lantern replacement (Airtricity), diversion in place

Sunday 25th February 2018

  • Fairfield Avenue: Road closure inbound in place from 0930hrs – 1700hrs from the junction of Knockpogue Avenue to the junction of Fairfield Road to facilitate water main repair (Water Dept, CCC)

Monday 26th February 2018

  • Half Moon Street: Full closure in place from 1930hrs – 0600 to facilitate roof material removal from Cork Opera House (Cumnor Construction), diversion in place
  • Father Matthew Quay: Stop/Go in operation from 1930hrs – 0600hrs to facilitate drainage survey as part of the Lower Lee Flood Relief Scheme (Enva on behalf of OPW)
  • Crane Lane: Full closure in place from 1930hrs – 0600hrs to facilitate duct installation as part of the development of No.85 South Mall (P.J. Hegarty & Sons)

  • Courthouse Street: Lane restriction in operation from 0930hrs – 1400hrs to facilitate the removal/replacement of public lighting lanterns as part of the City Centre Public Transport Improvement Scheme (MGOS), expect delays
  • Cove Street: Road closure in place from 0930hrs – 1600hrs from the junction of Meade Street to the junction of Drinan Street to facilitate installation of ESB ducting for the Sullivan’s Quay development (BAM), diversion in place

  • Woodside: Give/Take currently in operation to facilitate site investigation works as part of the Tivoli Watermain Rehabilitation project (Coffey Northumbrian Ltd), local access will be maintained
  • Blarney Road: Stop/Go in operation from 0930hrs – 1600hrs to facilitate construction of low cost safety scheme (MGOS), expect delays
  • Centre Park Road: Stop/Go in operation from 0930hrs – 1800hrs to facilitate removal of tree stumps and temporary repair of footpaths (Dermot Casey Tree Care & Roads Maintenance, CCC), expect delays
  • Skehard Road: Stop/Go in operation from 0930hrs – 1600hrs to facilitate jetting of drainage lines (Drainage Dept, CCC)
