As a special event for Maths Week 2023 we are delighted to host Maths Magician and international author Nelo Alberto Maestre Blanco on Monday October 16th. Nelo will perform his famous maths magic show combining his two interests of stage and teaching to promote interest in mathematics.

About Nelo Alberto Maestre Blanco
Nelo is a mathematician and a magician from Spain. He started in magic in 1998 and graduated in mathematics in 2006. He combines these two interests on stage and in teaching to promote interest in mathematics. He has won awards for magic, performed across Spain on stage and on TV. He is also author of several books on maths and magic.
Nelo is a lecturer with stage experience, disseminator and teacher trainer. His entire professional career has been in the intersection between mathematics and magic. Nelo graduated in Mathematical Sciences in 2006 at Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM). He started in the world of illusion in 1998. Since then he has participated in all kinds of events, both for the general public and for important companies such as Mapfre, HP, Yahoo, BBVA, Vodafone... and many others. He was the star of the theatrical show Magical, which toured the Spain for more than 3 years, and was the magician of the programme "Comecaminos" on Televisión Española for two seasons.
