This is a very popular workshop program uniquely available to schools in Cork City and County. In our Primary Science Workshops children from 3rd to 6th class can explore topics from the SESE Science Curriculum under the guidance of a qualified teacher experienced in the teaching of Primary Science. The 3 hour workshops are full of hands on practical science activities that encourage discovery and investigation. All Lifetime Lab workshops and school visits may be used as a step in achieving the Science Foundation Ireland Curious Mind Award.

Primary Science Workshop topics change each year and individual workshops are adapted to suit the class levels attending. Equipment used consists of simple accessible household items and all activities are planned to be possible in a classroom/school setting. Over the years teachers have commented that the workshop are a great source of ideas and have helped teachers develop their own science teaching.
A 3-hour workshop at Lifetime Lab suitable for 3rd to 6th class, full of hands-on practical science activities that encourage discovery and investigation. Focusing on Forces, workshops are adapted to suit the class level and include lots of great projects and challenges including Magnetic Cars, Class Compass, Parachutes for 3rd & 4th Class and for senior classes Levers & Pulleys and Wind Powered Lifting Machines.
