Community Maintenance Grants

In April Cork City Council invited applications from Community Associations, Residents Associations and Men’s Sheds for funding for its annual Community Area Maintenance Grants

Grants are intended to fund or part-fund community initiatives with a litter prevention focus. These may include:

  1. Purchase of items such as brushes, litter pickers, rakes, shovels, high visibility vests, etc. to be used for litter clean-ups.

  2. Purchase of lawnmowers, strimmers, flower boxes, plants, shrubs, street furniture etc. to be used in the clean-up and improvement of public green areas.

  3. Communications, photocopying and publicity costs associated with litter    


         d)   Prizes for children involved in litter clean-ups.

         e)   Miscellaneous costs and items incurred in the area of Litter Education,       

                Litter Prevention and Litter Reduction.

    The Closing date for applications was the 19th May 2017 and successful applicants will be contact shortly regarding the amount of grant aid funding awarded to them.
