The Cork Chamber Green Fáilte Award is Ireland’s first Environmental Award Scheme for the Hospitality Sector. It was developed by Cork Chamber in 2003 and is now a regional and national brand.  Wherever you see a Gold, Silver or Bronze Green Fáilte Award Certificate, you can be certain that the property is actively managing its waste, water and energy usage effectively and contributing to a more environmentally friendly Ireland.

This is a great achievement for one of Cork’s newest tourist attractions, open since February 2006. The staff can display their Award with pride, having demonstrated their commitment to environmental protection.

”The Green Fáilte award is based on performance in Environmental management and focuses on implementing best practice in the areas of waste, water and energy. As well as the obvious environmental benefits, financial savings were also realised.

By operating best practice Lifetime Lab achieved the following:

·        42% reduction in waste to Landfill

·        40% reduction in water consumption
