Lord Mayor

Welcome to the homepage of the Lord Mayor’s Section of Cork City Council's website.

Cork city has a distinguished and colourful history which the visitor can access by visiting:

Cork Past and Present, Cork Archives and Cork City Libraries.

The purpose of this section is to give the visitor - whether citizen, tourist or curious browser - a sense of the rich history of the office of Lord Mayor and the many distinguished people who have worn with pride the Lord Mayor's Chain. This section of the website will give you biographies of some of my most eminent predecessors in the role and a visual and written chronology of the artefacts in the Mayoral chamber.

Cllr. Mick Finn, Ardmhéara, Chorcaí.
