Cork City has been awarded a prestigious Mission Label by the European Commission for its strong leadership and very ambitious climate action plans that have been subject to a robust evaluation process.

The Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr. Dan Boyle is proud to announce the upcoming Annual Black-Tie Charity Ball, themed "Second Time Around," focusing on the importance of recycling, reusing, and sustainability. This prestigious event will take place at the Vienna Woods Hotel on Friday, 6th June 2025. This year’s ball is dedicated to supporting four charities close to the Lord Mayor’s heart: Shine Centre for Autism, the Alzheimer’s Association of Ireland, Cork Simon Community, and Deaf Enterprises.
