Tom Durcan, craft butcher has been trading at the English Market since 1985. Tom began his trade as a young butcher in Carrigaline co. Cork. From there, Tom travelled to Denmark to perfect his craft, curing and smoking meats. He then returned to Cork and opened his first shop in Douglas. An opportunity later came up to trade at the English Market and he has not looked back since. Tom specialises in sourcing and selling the finest quality local meats from dry aged Irish beef, succulent Irish spring lamb, locally produced fresh Irish pork and the freshest homemade speciality sausages. Their speciality is their award-winning traditional Spiced Beef which has won a gold medal from the Craft Butchers of Ireland. Tom Durcan’s ethos is to always have fresh, Irish sourced prime quality meat available that is locally sourced, specially butchered, and used by the best restaurants in the country.
