Ferris Wheel

Cork City Council, as a result of incoming Level Five Restrictions, has decided the Ferris Wheel will cease operating on Christmas Eve at 6pm.

Public Health and Safety is paramount to Cork City Council and the Ferris Wheel will not reopen again this Christmas. If you have booked tickets for the Ferris Wheel after December 24th, please email info@panoramicwheel.iequoting your reference number for a refund.

 We would like to thank the public for enjoying the Wheel safely, and to wish everyone a happy and safe Christmas.

Transforming the skyline and offering unparalleled views of the surrounding area, the much-loved and iconic 32m Panoramic Wheel brings back to Cork some very welcome festive cheer.

Like every other Christmas, the Panoramic Wheel and Carousel will be located on  Grand Parade, from December 2 to January 10, daily from 12 noon to 9pm

*Exceptions: Closed Christmas Day, and closing early at 6pm Christmas Eve & New Year's Eve*

The Panoramic Wheel has robust Covid-19  safety measures in place which include - 

  • Online booking
  • Contact tracing
  • Social distancing measures in the vicinity of the wheel
  • Sanitising at point of payment, entry and exit
  • Each 'bubble' allocated their own wheel car
  • Daily staff screening, and face coverings for wheel attendants
  • Wheel cars disinfected after EVERY use
  • Frequent decontamination of high frequency touchpoints eg.handrails
