Old Cork Waterworks Experience features in RTEjr Science Series

Let's Find Out, RTEjr's science series made with their friends at Science Foundation Ireland is back!! The children’s scenes were all filmed at Old Cork Waterworks Experience over the summer with the popular attraction transforming into a futuristic film set. In each episode an alien called Zoom wants to find out something new about planet earth. Her crewmates Amy and Mark are scientists who help Zoom demonstrate and explain things to Zoom with fun, spectacular science experiments. The ship also asks children for help.

Mary Murphy of Stopwatch Productions, which makes the show, said: “We were so lucky to be able to use the fantastic facilities at the Cork Waterworks including the museum and playground. We transformed part of the centre into the show’s Brain Power Station. This is the place where children take part in what we call the Brain Power Challenge quiz to send brain fuel back up to the spaceship.”

Starting on Monday, 8 November tune in weekdays on RTÉjr at 7am and again at 2.30pm plus you can watch it on RTÉ Player whenever you want!
