Rochestown to Douglas Cycle Route
Cork City Council intends to provide a cycle route to connect the Cork City to Passage West Greenway with Douglas.
The aim of the scheme is to provide a safe high-quality link for cyclists from Douglas Village, and the surrounding residential areas, to the Cork City to Passage West Greenway. Providing this safe access will encourage the shift towards cycling for those who wish to go to the city centre for work or leisure purposes. The Rochestown to Douglas Cycle Scheme will comprise a mix of on road segregated cycle facilities on the Rochestown Road and mixed streets on Lislee Road and Lime Trees Road. The scheme measures approximately 2.8 km in length.
Cork City Council intends to progress the design of this infrastructure project in 2022 with planning and construction to follow thereafter.
