John Philpott Curran Street: Road closure in place from 0930hrs on Monday 11th of November 2019 from its junction with Shandon Street to its junction with Cathedral Avenue to facilitate the redevelopment of No. 5/6 Shandon Street. ***York Street***: Road Closure in place from 2000hrs on Monday 06th of January 2020 from its junction with McCurtain Street to its junction with Wellington Road to facilitate the development of the Windsor Inn Hotel. York Hill: Road closure in place (Southbound Only) 2000hrs on Monday 06th of January 2020 from its junction with Summerhill North to its junction with Wellington Road to facilitate one way system due to the York Street road closure. Deane Street: Road closure in place from 0930hrs on Tuesday 25th of February 2020 until June 2021 approx from is junction with Oliver Plunkett Street Lower to its junction with Clontarf Street to facilitate development of the Prism Building by CField Construction.

Henry Street: Road closure in operation 24hr from its junction with Prospect Row to its junction with Millerd Street to facilitate additional storage facilities due Covid-19 (Mercy Hospital)

Skehard Road: Upgrade works taking place until approx July 2021 from its junction with Mahon Link Road to its junction with Church Road, Lane restrictions and Stop/Go traffic management will be in place expect delays. Footpath closures will be in place throughout the works (Coffey Northumbrian)

Blarney Road/Harbour View Road: Footpath closures in place until February 2021, to facilitate upgrade works. Pedestrians to follow diversions. Works have been stopped due to Covid 19 restrictions. Following the resumption of works a new completion date will be decided. (Cumnor)

Sheares Street: Partial bus lane closure in place from 23rd of February 2021 until October 2021 to facilitate Mercy Hospital extension works. A temporary pedestrian walkway will be in place for the duration. (ESS Modular)

 

Covid-19 Pathway Recovery Road Closures

The Marina: Road Closure in place to all public vehicular traffic. The closure is in place from its entrance with Páirc Uí Chaoimh to its junction with Church Avenue.

  • Local access is being maintained for the Lee/ Shandon Boat clubs from Centre Park Road/ Link Road Junction.
  • Local access is being maintained for residents only in the Church Avenue/ Lower Marina/ Blackrock Harbour Area.

Cork City Council would ask for the public’s cooperation when parking and to be cognisant of driveway access for residents in the area if availing of the Marina walkway.

 

Paul Street / St Peter and Pauls Place: Road Closure in place to facilitate social distancing measures. A full road closure is in place on St Peter and Pauls Place from its junction with St Pauls Avenue. Paul Street will be local access only for people looking to access St Pauls Avenue. ***N40 Dunkettle Interchange***: Lane Restrictions in place 24hrs until the 7th of May to facilitate interchange upgrade works. (Sisk)

Terence McSwiney Quay/Anglesea Street: A 24hr Bus Lane closure in place to facilitate the operating of the Vaccination Centre at Cork City Hall. (HSE)

Coburg Street: 24hr Lane restrictions in place until Friday 23rd of April 2021 to facilitate watermain rehab works. Expect delays. (Coffey Northumbrian)

Dublin Hill: Stop/Go in place 0930-1600hrs to facilitate footpath and pedestrian crossing works. (MGOS)

Terence McSwiney Quay/Parnell Bridge: Lane restrictions in place to facilitate cycle lane construction. Rolling footpath closures will also be in place as part of the works. (Cumnor)

Maylor Street: Road Closure in place from 0930-1900hrs from its junction with St Patrick Street to its junction with Parnell Place to facilitate road resurfacing works. Local Diversions will be in place (Lagan)

Paul Street: Road Closure in place from 0930-1900hrs from its junction with Cornmarket Street to its junction with Patricks Street to facilitate road resurfacing works. Pedestrian access will also be limited due to social distancing requirements. Local Diversions will be in place (Lagan)

Lower Kileens Road/Upper Fairhill/Commons Road: Stop/Go in place 0800-1800hrs to facilitate bridge repair and rehabilitation works. Temporary traffic lights will be in place outside of work hours expect delays. (Cumnor)
