City Development Plan
The Cork City Development Plan 2015-2021was made by Council Members on 23rd March 2015 and came into effect 20th April 2015. The Plan is Cork City Council’s main strategic planning policy document and it will guide the future development of the city for the period up to 2021.
Variations to the City Development Plan
Following adoption, the Plan may be amended at any time by Council members, through a statutory Variation process. Please click here& scroll down to view details of adopted variations.
Details of proposed variations will be available following the publication of public notices inviting written submissions/ observations from all interested parties and respective stakeholders.
Proposed Variation No. 6 (Tramore Road/Kinsale Road Site)
Cork City Council has prepared the Proposed Variation No. 6 (Tramore Road/Kinsale Road Site) of the Cork City Development Plan 2015/2021.
The proposed variation relates to the re-zoning of a 3.2 hectare site of the former creamery at the corner of Tramore Road and Kinsale Road, from "Light Industry and Related Uses" to "Residential, Local Services and Institutional Uses" in order to facilitate an orderly redevelopment of the subject lands for residential and related uses.
Copies of the proposed variation may be inspected at the following locations from 23rd August to 20th September 2019, inclusive.

Central Library, Grand Parade 10.00 am - 5.30 pm, Mon - Sat
Tory Top Library, Ballyphehane 10.00 am - 5.30 pm, Tues - Sat

Written submissions received at City Hall by not later than 5.00 pm, 20th September 2019 will be taken into consideration before the making of the Proposed Variation.
