How to Pay

To pay for parking on-street there are two options:
  • Park By Phone
  • Display a Parking Disc 

Revised on-street parking charges will come into effect on July 1st 2022. Parkers have the option to pay the charge of €2.50 by displaying a valid parking disc or via Cork City Park by Phone app or website.

To pay for parking in North Main Street and Paul Street car parks, please take a ticket on entry. Payment can be made at any of the pay stations on all levels of the car park. At the Black Ash Park & Ride, please take a ticket on entry to the facility, payment can be made at one of the paystations in the depot either on entry or exit. 

 

Park By Phone

This service allows you to pay for parking over the phone by either calling 021 4924030 or booking your parking on the free app. Contact the Park by Phone helpline by calling 021-4924025.

You can download the free app from the Google Play Store or the Apple Store.

There is no need to display anything on your car. 

By opening or using a Cork City Park by Phone Account with Cork City Council or its Appointed Contractor you agree to be bound by the Terms & Conditions contained in this agreement:  Cork Park By Phone Terms and Conditions

Parking Disc

Revised on-street parking charges will come into effect on July 1st. Parkers have the option to pay the charge of €2.50 by displaying a valid parking disc or via Cork City Park by Phone app or website.

  • Cork City Council will continue to honour all €2.00 Parking discs purchased by members of the public prior to 30/06/2022. These discs have a natural expiry date of 31/12/2022.
  • All parking discs with an expiry date prior to 31/12/2021 will no longer be eligible for exchange after 30/06/2022 due to the .50 cent price differential.
  • All €2.00 parking discs with an expiry date of 31/12/2022 will no longer be eligible for exchange after 31/12/2022 due to the .50 cent price differential.

You can pay for parking on-street by purchasing, marking and displaying a parking disc within the parked vehicle.

The parking disc must be displayed in the interior of the vehicle so that it is clearly and fully legible through the front windscreen.

Shops, restaurants and cafes within the city centre and in the surrounding areas sell parking discs.

Pay a Parking Fine

If you have received a parking fine, there are three options for payment:

 

1.    Log on to the parking fine payment section and make the payment using your debit/credit card

 

2.    Make a payment at the cash office:

       Opening Hours: Monday - Friday 10:00 - 16:00

 

 

3.    Send a cheque/postal order to:

       (Please write your car registration and the notification number on the back of the cheque)

Appeal a Parking Fine

Appeals must be received on or before the 14th day from the date of issue of a Fixed Charge Penalty Notice. This date will be stated on the Fixed Charge Penalty Notice.

Below are some reasons which may not be considered as valid grounds for appeal:

  • Motor Tax Disc received and not visible/displayed at time of alleged offence.
  • Disabled driver permit not visible/displayed at time of alleged offence.
  • Parking disc/residents permit/work permit not visible/displayed at time of alleged offence.
  • Failure to see/read signs.
  • Paid by Park by Phone app or Phone Service after the time of the alleged offence.
  • Parking a non-commercially taxed vehicle in a loading bay.
  • Commercial vehicles exceeding the maximum set-down time in a loading bay.
  • Parking disc not filled out correctly.
