This 'Tools of the Trade' is inspired by contemporary Nautical Education at NMCI, the artefacts at the Maritime Museum in Passage West and the captivating historic views of Cork Harbour from the Statio Bene Exhibition at the Crawford Gallery.

Participants will be given a short introduction to these three inspiring project partners and a tour of the 'Tools of the Trade' Exhibition on view at Nano Nagle Place. This exhibition features artwork by students of St. Marie's on the Hill NS on Harbour View Rd in Knocknaheeny.

Workshop participants will then make their own driftwood model boat in the adjoining outdoor courtyard. All materials will be provided.

More artwork by students of St. Marie's on the Hill NS on Harbour View Rd in Knocknaheeny will be on view at Holyhill Library, Cork.

Tools of the Trade is supported by Cork City Council and Creative Ireland. Creative Ireland is an all-of-government five-year initiative, from 2017 to 2022, which places creativity at the centre of public policy. Further information from creativeireland.ie.
