Update on North Main Street traffic restrictions
Cork City Council has put new traffic measures in place on North Main Street to reduce disruption to traders, shoppers and residents following the closure of the street to traffic because of a possible dangerous structure.
Pedestrian access is available at all times.
· Traffic direction is to be altered to allow motorists to make a right turn from Kyle St on to North Main Street
· Two set down areas are to be put in place on North Main St to allow commercial deliveries.
North Main Street has been closed to through traffic to ensure public safety. This closure could be in place for another two weeks. However North Main Street is very much open for business.
Building Control section is working with the building owner and their engineers in relation to making the building safe.
