Cork City Covid-19 Community Response Forum

CorkCityHelpline

A Covid-19 Community Response Forum (CRF) is in place in Cork to ensure that vulnerable members of the community or those living alone can access vital grocery, medicine and fuel deliveries and social care supports.

Support is available to any individual or family who need some help due to Covid-19, including people who are self-isolating or cocooning.

How can I get help?

A dedicated helpline, Community Call, is available from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday to Friday. The number is 1800-222-226 and support can also be accessed via covidsupport@corkcity.ie.

Why has the CRF been set up?

There are many agencies currently doing super work in delivering care to older and vulnerable people in our communities and this forum is aimed at building on this, not duplicating it.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, many of these organisations are providing online or phone options so that they can continue to provide support in communities.

We are working with our communities and volunteers to ensure that these  local resources - including social care support and social contact – are targeted at the people who need them most.

Cork City has been broken into 16 local area teams with a Cork City Council community worker and HSE community worker in each area who will work with ‘local champions’ - namely the existing voluntary organisations and groups who know their locality and can help us to match need with service delivery. Each of the 16 local areas also has a link to Community Garda Services.

With the help of local groups, we have created an interactive CRF services map below. Take a look to see what services are available in your area.

By clicking on the map below, you’ll be able to see the 16 local areas in the city, and the services available in your area by using the filter options on screen. Let us know if your organisation can be included (please click here).
