Every Action Matters took place in the Cork City Council Chambers on the evening of April 15. Cllr Dan Boyle deputised for the Lord Mayor and opened the event. He spoke about his own recollections from childhood, his optimism and need for us the right the mistakes of the past in our relationship with nature and resources.

Speakers on the night told stories about taking action on climate and sustainable actions;

  • Prasanna spoke about taking up a hobby of mapping cycle lanes how his work was adopted as a new cycling map by Cork City Council,
  • Louise spoke about getting involved in keeping a litter picking group in Blackpool, and
  • Thomas spoke about learning as he goes with trying to get more trees growing in urban areas.
  • Erin spoke about her innovative adventures with composting
  • Ellen talked about the highs and lows of introducing a cloth nappy initiative.
  • Justine spoke about her business's sustainability journey, where every new action led to another.

There was great opportunities to network. People come away with new connections and were able to re-engage with existing colleagues and acquaintances.
