Experimenting with slime, creating an electronic circuit or zapping the microbes in your gut teach chemistry, physics, biology and IT in an fun way, and being led in these fun experiments by some of Cork’s top young researchers makes high-level research and development  more accessible for young people.

Discovery aims to increase interest in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) as subjects and careers to 8-16 year olds through hands-on activities showcasing the very best in education, research and careers in these fields in Cork. Contributors to Discovery include UCC, CIT, the Tyndall National Institute, Lifetime Lab, Blackrock Castle Observatory, Cork Electronics Industry Association, IBEC, Pharmachemical Ireland, EMC, TrendMicro.
