Cork City Council’s website is currently being redeveloped and the newly designed website will be launched at the end of 2009. The primary motivations for this redevelopment are:

• To provide a website that is more user friendly and business oriented
• To increase online interaction with the public
• To ensure that the website complies with accessibility standards
• To incorporate Web 2.0 features such as video, audio, twitter and blogs where relevant
