New Developments in the Heart of the City

Cork city centre is being transformed at present by a series of developments that will boost its employment content and attraction to visitors.

Formally opened in early 2016,  One Albert Quay is Ireland's "smartest" building incorporating the latest technology available globally.  This 6 storey LEED gold certified office block has delivered 15,000 m2 of large floorplate offices.  Already fully occupied it houses the global headquarters of Johnson Controls (formerly Tyco), EMEA HQ of Malwarebytes, PWC, Ardmore Shipping, Investec, Hortonworks and a range of other international and Irish tenants.

The new €50 million retail and office development on the site of the former Capitol Cinema is due to open in June 2017. Located in the heart of the city this development consists of over 9,000 m2 of grade A next generation retail and office space.

Work will commence shortly on Navigation Square.  Located in the heart of the City's commerical centre, this riverfront development will combine 4 signature buildings offering 310,000 sq ft of 4th generation office space, designed to Gold LEED standards.

Other major developments at Anderson's Quay, South Terrace (Trinity Quarter) and Sullivan's Quay have recently been launched.

Work is also underway to develop a new Event Centre with the capacity to cater for 6,000 patrons as part of the redevelopment of the former Beamish and Crawford Brewery.
