ParkMagic is the new alternative parking payment system which has been launched by Cork City Council. This new system allows motorists to pay for their on-street parking using their mobile phone. The system will not replace parking discs, which can still be used to pay for on-street parking as in the past.
Before you can use the ParkMagic System you must first register as a user on the system. To do this you simply get a free starter pack* that contains the registration details. This process takes only minute and then you are ready to park immediately.
* Starter Packs are available free of charge from the following locations and/or by contacting ParkMagic directly:
City Hall Reception, City Library, O’Callaghan Electrical (Oliver Plunkett Street), Mercy Hospital, School of Music (Union Quay), Cork Chamber of Commerce and Fitzgerald Electrical (Grand Parade)
There is €5 worth of free parking credit for all new customers to the ParkMagic system. Full details of how to claim this are on the starter pack.

On arrival in the parking bay dial the ParkMagic parking number (0818 22 03 30) from your mobile phone and input the street number that you are parked on.
Each parking period costs €2.00 plus the cost of the phone call and is valid for a period of 1 or 2 hours depending on the street on which you park (see on-street time plates for details of permitted parking duration).
Before the expiry of the parking period, the motorist can extend their parking period by a predefined period (1 hour in both 2 and 1 hour parking areas) at a cost of €2.00.
