Update on Works following Hurricane Ophelia

‌‌‌Following yesterdays storm, the City Council received over 200 reports of fallen trees. Today we have 5 tree crews working across the City to clear minor roads, estates and parks. It is anticipated that this work will continue for a number of days.

More extensive damage was caused on Centre Park Road where over 30 mature trees fell. Crews are on site trying to clear the debris, but major reinstatement works are also required to the damaged footpaths and roads.

Most Cork City Council parks are closed today whilst fallen trees are removed and an assessment carried out on any further damage. The parks will reopen as soon as possible.
