To validly hold a dog licence a person must be over 16 years of age, and not banned from keeping a dog under Section 18 of the Control of Dogs Act 1986.
The following dog licences are available from Cork City Council:
Annual Dog Licence: €20.00. It lasts one year and is non-transferable.
Lifetime Dog Licence: €140.00, covering the entire lifespan of the dog, however short or long that might be. It is non-transferable.
Group Dog Licence: €400.00, for packs of dogs numbering 20 or more. The licence lasts one year. Note, dogs licensed under the Group Licence must be kennelled at the same address.

Only dogs resident within the City of Cork should be registered on this online facility.
Annual and Group Dog Licences are also available from all branches of An Post.
