The Recreation & Sport Division has responsibility for amenities, including all parks, sporting facilities, and the four City Council owned cemeteries.

Mahon Municipal Golf Course
Mahon Golf Course is an 18 hole golf course set between Clover Hill and the estuary of the Douglas River which attracts constant praise from golfers.
Leisure Centres
Cork City Council has 3 leisure centres, Leisureworld Bishopstown Leisureworld Churchfield and Douglas, operated by Leisureworld on our behalf. All 3 facilities have pools, with Bishopstown and Churchfield having pitches, gyms, and saunas. See http://www.leisureworldcork.com/ for further details.
The Council also has a leisure centre, the Glen Resource Centre incorporating all weather pitches, meeting rooms, zip wire courses etc, managed by Glen Resource Centre Ltd on our behalf – see www.glencentre.ie
The Council has 2 indoor sports halls managed by the City of Cork VEC .
Parks
The Parks Department maintains a number of walkways and parks in the City. A number of new parks have opened in recent years, with a major investment as well in playgrounds and Multi User Games Areas .
