The Finance Department manages the financial resources of the Cork City Council. It manages, controls and records all income and expenditure and arranges borrowing and leases and controls the investment of funds.
The Household Charge is an annual charge introduced by the Local Government (Household Charge) Act 2011 / Local Government (Household charge) Regulations 2012 which is payable by owners of residential property. It is a matter for owners of residential property to register and pay the household charge after the 1st of January. Cork City Council has transferred its waste collection service for both domestic and non-domestic customers to Country Clean Recycling, The Mill, Castletownroche, Mallow, Co. Cork with effect from Monday, 15th August 2011. There are no immediate changes to waste collection and you should continue to present your waste as normal.
