Cork city will be a host port after the final Atlantic crossing of the 35,000-mile Clipper race across the world's oceans. The competing boats are due to berth in Cork at Custom House Quay between 01-09 July 2010. Making a big splash on the June Bank Holiday weekend! - The Ocean to City Race is an exciting and colourful 15 mile rowing race from Crosshaven past Cork Docklands to Cork City. The annual event will take place on June 05th 2010. The race will finishe at City Quarter, Lapps Quay, Cork with vantage points along the course include the Marina.
The race is open to all fixed seat traditional type coastal rowing/paddling boats and is run on a handicapped pursuit basis. A challenge for rowers and a great spectacle both on and off the water for all the family!
